Art is inherently individualistic and personal. When you keep returning to a painting time and time again, there is no one to blame except ourselves. An artist's success or failure all falls on our determination and drive. This sense of personal responsibility and individualism translates well into the real world; it translates into every art commission I accept. The world of fine art is an ever ending industry. In theory all these movements with Salvador Dali and great artists of the time have all died. Designs all discovered, looks all generated. I don’t want to be tied to one movement, I enjoy them all because anything made by hand carries positive energy, if not its forced, taught or trained. I am self-taught, self-sought, tried and true passionate artist and that is what separates me from the rest.With love for both surreal and realism I enjoy a lose and more rebel by nature approach. Watercolors to me have always been a wash not vibrant and awe inspiring as a bold oil pastel painting. I have developed my own unique style for developing these effects in chalk pastel also. Instead of feeling like a medium it becomes a part of the viewers reality. Some paintings are hauntingly surreal but, It always offers a moment of contemplation to all who pass. interest in the irrational, automatism, and the subconscious, the unconscious, the madness, the grotesque, and the lovely fantastical depiction of reality.
