Johnson and Sons General Contracting is a family owned and operated business located in Buffalo specializing in custom remodeling. Today brothers, Paul and Adam Johnson, run Johnson and Sons General Contracting, which now has more than 15 full time employees. Johnson and Sons General Contracting founder, Bill Johnson Sr. completed his studies in 1948 at Canisius College and shortly after started his painting business. Like most contractors Bill worked out of his house until the business grew to five employees. By the early 1980 s, Bill s eldest sons Bill Jr. & Mike became more involved in the company and expanded the services to include carpentry and roofing, Not long after that sons Paul and Adam joined the business. The company name then became William Johnson & Sons General Contractor. The business started focusing on light commercial rehabilitation with a strong focus on general residential contracting. In 1994 with Bill still at the helm of the company, sons Paul Adam purchased the company, moved it to it s present location at 45 Pannell Street and named it Johnson & Sons. Throughout the last fifty years Bill Johnson and family have been active members of the Buffalo community of volunteers. Early projects like the painting of the Primate House at the Buffalo Zoo and painting of Studio Arena Theater to recent projects such as the restoration of the Crane Branch Library have been a tradition in line with the Johnson sense of civic duty. One of Johnson & Sons present focal points is the area for the physically challenged. Projects like the Renovation of St. Mary s School for the Deaf and the renovation New York State Division of Youth has given Johnson and Sons the credibility of a true leader in this area.
